December was a funny month. It’s a month of firsts, for I appeared on both magazine and telly.
They weren’t much, but there was something curious about seeing yourself on such media.
In October, I won a trip to the Czech Republic with Singtel MioTV (details here) and ended up on cable tv for a two part promo with my buddy Daniel Bob. It was pretty funny being on camera as we had to be really “energetic” and “hyped” up for everything. Not that we weren’t excited, but our friends probably know that we aren’t exactly the crazy enthusiastic type. But I think we did quite well and you can see for yourself here. :p Audio’s a little soft though.
Wish I could show you the full promos, but MioTV isn’t uploading them nor replying my emails. So my post football footage taken from my iphone will have to do for now. [EDIT] So they have finally uploaded the videos!
Anyway after five interesting/occasionally awkward days with the crew, we continued out for our own adventure along the Polish-Czech border and had a pretty good time.
Check out Daniel Bob’s heartwarming and beautiful video of our trip below. This guy is a talent.
NUYOU 25 Men We Love
This came as more of a surprise when I received a text the day before our hike in the Czech Republic saying that a PR friend (whom I had no idea was who until recently), had nominated me for the list. The selection process was pretty much handled by the editors and by the time it reached me, it was just a “do you want to be a part of this” kind of thing. Since it was a non pageant thing (thank god!) and I only had to be interviewed, go for a photoshoot and attend an event, the decision was easy.

It was my first ever photoshoot and it felt a little odd to have the roles reversed cause usually I’m the one organizing (like this one).
At the event ‘mingling’
Red Coach luggage tag from the sponsor which I’ll never use. Let me know if you want it yup.
Although slightly odd that it’s for a Chinese magazine, and aside from the constant teasing, it was a pretty fun (and flattering) experience to be in this position for once.
Thanks for 2013.
