I’m glad that resolutions work. Looking back at my 2013 resolutions, it’s nice to realize that although they may not be at the level I want them to be yet, there was definitely progress. There were many tough decisions made (read: The grass is greener on the other side), and even surprises towards the end. So I guess all in all it was still pretty good.
2014 will be a year of doingthingsiwillregretifidon’tdothemnow and I hope that penning them down would motivate me to put words into action. And if there is one overarching resolution, it is to not let fear stop us from doing anything. If things go well, we have an awesome story to tell. If it doesn’t, we still have an awesome story to tell.
So here it goes.
Travel
a) Trip to the unknown

I’ve always wanted to try this. Get a friend to buy a ticket somewhere and pass it to me only at the airport. No planning of what to see and what to do, just travel somewhere.
b) Mount Kinabalu

I’ve been on many treks, yet never been to tallest mountain closest of us. KK, see you in March this year.
c) Skiing in Seoul
Other than the brief morning snow during my trek in the Czech Republic, I’ve never really seen or played with snow. This January, it’s finally getting real. Skiing in Seoul with my best buds, meeting old friends, snow angels and makgeolli.
d) South America

e) FIFA World Cup 2014
The mecca for any Football fan. And this year it’s back in Brazil!!! There’s no better time to head there.
f) Advanced Open Water Diving Certification
To explore the depths of the ocean is to unlock the wonders of the World.

Everything Else
a) Keep up with my loose routine of keeping fit, dancing more and practicing the guitar.
b) Learn a new language.
c) Grow Dancelah and continue serving the community.
d) Be more patient to my parents and aunts (from last year).
e) Continue to trust more (from last year).
f) Create more. Think, draw, photograph, film, design, write.
So to anyone out there reading this, as much as I love doing things alone, I would love to work/travel/collab with you if our paths cross and the stars align. Just drop me a PM :).
Great list! K2 and Kinabalu are two different mountain peaks though. Hope to see you achieve all of them in 2015’s post!
Thanks! edited :)
So glad I found your blog. Let me know if you ever need a travel buddy to go somewhere! Peru is calling my name. :)
Well I am planning to head to South America come May!
Hi there, I am a fellow Singaporean pursuing for my degree in UK. I gonna do quite abit of travelling, on and off depending on my study scheldue for the next 3 years in Europe & hopefully, America. I might start travel blogging, in the midst of creating my blog. I’m heading to Italy & Greece for the whole of Apr. If u r interested, we can link up & see what we can do. :)
Hey Lester! Thanks for visiting the blog. Always open to linking up but don’t think I’ll be in Europe anytime soon. Probably heading to South America in end May though!
Hey your picture for Kinabalu is a more complex “via-ferrata” route than the usual hike up and down which most people do – my friends and I who did the full via-ferrata last year (without knowing what it really involved) agreed it was one of the toughest experiences in our lives. Would suggest some rock climbing or abseiling lessons prior to attempting the via-ferrata if you don’t already have such experience!
Have you done a)?!
Unfortunately this is the only one I’ve yet to do this year. :(
